Gabions are mesh products that are made of double-torsion steel wire mesh with a hexagonal cell. Gabions are delivered in a flat package, and Assembly and filling with stone material are carried out directly on the site.
Gabions are used for a variety of purposes and are usually used for:
construction of flexible, permeable and monolithic structures, such as retaining walls;
channel lining, hydrotechnical and anti-erosion structures.
in architectural projects.
Gabion structures are made of high-quality steel wire with a strong galvanic protective coating that provides long-term protection against corrosion. For gabions that are used in more aggressive environments, or in cases where it is necessary to provide an extended service life of the structure, an additional protective polymer coating – PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is also used.
To strengthen the structure, all the edges of the mesh panel are reinforced with wire of a larger diameter.
Gabions are of the following types:
By form:
K-boxed;
KA-boxed with a reinforcing panel;
M-mattress and mattress;
C-cylindrical.
According to the type of coating applied to the mesh:
C — coated with zinc;
The CPU is coated with zinc and polymer;
CAMM — plated alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal;
CAMP — plated alloy of zinc and aluminum and Misch metal and polymer.
The supplied gabion products comply with GOST 52132.
Gabions JUMBO
Jumbo gabions are identical in concept to our regular gabions, but have a much larger size.
They allow the contractor to install gabion blocks faster and more efficiently, taking into account savings on product sizes and speeding up the construction process.
Cylindrical gabions.
Cylindrical gabions are cylindrical mesh products that are made of double-torsion steel wire mesh with a hexagonal cell.
Cylindrical gabions are filled with stone and are used for emergency recovery work on rivers and reservoirs. In addition, cylindrical gabions are used to build artificial foundations for coastal protection structures, and they are used to construct stream-directing dams, spurs, and jetties. The gabion is raised to the working position when using the appropriate equipment and simply stacked on top of each other.
Reno Mattresses
Reno mattresses are made of double-torsion galvanized steel mesh with a 6×8 hexagonal cell. Internal diaphragms divide Reno mattresses into uniform proportional sections with a step of 1 m. The diaphragms are vertical inserts in the base panel made of double-torsion mesh, which gives the structure stability when filled with stone.
At the construction site, Reno mattresses are filled with stones to create flexible, permeable, monolithic structures for protecting rivers, lining channels, and fighting erosion. In order to increase the rigidity of the structure, all the edges of the mesh panels are fastened with a wire of a larger diameter.
Our Reno mattresses are gabion mesh products that are made of double-torsion mesh with a hexagonal cell. They are delivered in a flat package, and Assembly and filling with stone are carried out directly on the construction site. This makes it possible to form flexible and permeable monolithic structures for river and canal Bank protection, as well as lining channel slopes to combat erosion. Reno mattresses are divided into sections by means of diaphragms that are installed inside the bases of the mattresses every meter along the entire length.
Terramesh System
The Terramesh system is an ecological modular soil reinforcement system used for fixing unstable soil masses instead of gravity walls for fixing slopes and embankment slopes.
The Terramesh® system is a factory-built prefabricated structure made of double-torsion wire mesh (type 8×10). The product modules are formed by attaching the back panel and jumpers to the main front panel, resulting in rectangular cells in which the stone is placed. The reinforcing geogrid, front face and cover are a single mesh panel. The blocks of Terra-Mesh panels have a standard length and do not require trimming on the object.
After assembling the panel modules in place, they are filled with stone material. When forming structures, the modules of the Terramesh System are arranged in horizontal layers. The reinforcement step is determined in accordance with the project to ensure the stability of soil arrays.
