Guinness world records achieved!
On March 18, 2019, in Dubai, the Minister of infrastructure development of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Abdullah Belhaif Alnuaimi, opened a bridge made of corrugated steel plates manufactured by ViaCon (Rydzyn, Poland).
The bridge has earned a place in the Guinness Book of world records as the largest backfill bridge in the world.
The span of the bridge measures 32.39 m, and this is the official record!
ViaCon was also awarded the Project of the year award, held annually by the National corrugated steel pipe Association, for this facility. The Association recognized ViaCon’s efforts in the bridge of the year category for the design and implementation of the world’s largest corrugated metal overpass in the United Arab Emirates.
