SuperCor-is a new generation of flexible structures made of galvanized corrugated steel sheets with very high rigidity. For load perception, these structures interact with the surrounding ground cage. SuperCor structures are used for construction of engineering facilities above and below roads and Railways. Spans can reach up to 25 m.
Universal supercor structures are used in the construction of road and railway infrastructure, industrial facilities, as well as for the reconstruction and strengthening of existing artificial structures such as:
Bridges
Overpasses
Tunnels
Underground passages, message paths
Aaduki
Pedestrian tunnel
Crossings for animals (ecological transitions)
Hangars for various purposes
Underground storage
Covers, containers, ribbons and other
Structures can be easily and quickly assembled both directly on the site and on the site next to the object, and then transferred to the design position.
The beginning of the Use of supercor-type structures dates back to the mid-80s of the XX century.
SuperCor designs are designed for all load classes in accordance with national standards.
Production of works in the construction of structures using SuperCor structures:
Foundation structure
Design delivery
Building the structure
Ground clip device
Finishing works
Advantage over traditional solutions:
Simple design solutions
Small number of composite parts
Easy and fast Assembly
Ability to assemble the structure at negative temperatures
Ability to assemble the structure without stopping traffic on roads and Railways
Possibility of preliminary and enlarged construction Assembly
due to the light weight of the corrugated plates it is possible to deliver them to separate and inaccessible places;
reducing the cost and timing of construction and installation work on the construction of the structure.
The construction production process consists of the mechanical molding of flat steel sheets into the form of corrugated curved plates, which will later be subjected to galvanization. Holes are made and cut before galvanization.
At the project’s request, galvanized corrugated plates can be coated with an epoxy coating in the factory. The steel used for the production of SuperCor construction complies with STB EN 10149 «hot rolled flat products made of steel with a high yield strength for changing shape in cold conditions» and STB EN 10025 «hot rolled products made of structural steel». Steel grades S315MC, S355MC and 420 MC are used. The thickness of the plates can be from 5.5 to 7 mm. The choice of the thickness of the construction plates depends on the shape of the cross-section of the structure, the span, the height of the filling above the structure and the type of mobile load. On request, you can make non-standard forms.
Corrosion protection of structures consists of:
— hot-dip galvanizing of steel plates and additional elements.
— epoxy coating of galvanized plates (if required).
The thickness of the protective zinc coating of steel plates depends on the project requirements and their thickness, and is usually 85 microns (possible layer thickness from 55 to 120 microns.)
To ensure good adhesion to the treated surface, to set the necessary strength and elasticity, paint coatings are applied in special conditions (inside closed rooms with controlled temperature and humidity). Compliance with the technological regime is crucial for the quality of anti-corrosion treatment.
Design.
The design process includes the following steps:
choosing the shape of the cross section of the structure
ground clip design;
Foundation design;
design of the input / output end face;
design of additional elements (lighting, etc.).
SuperCor designs are designed for all load classes in accordance with national standards. They also meet the requirements of AASHTO (USA) and CHBDC (Canada) and other standards.
Reinforcing ribs can be used in the design. Reinforcing ribs are used when the structural rigidity is not sufficient for the specified loads (they can be used for all types of construction). To get even more rigidity, the space between the main structure and the reinforcing ribs can be filled with concrete. The use of reinforcing ribs may be necessary for structures with large spans.
SuperCor structures are often used to repair old bridges and other structures where it is not possible to build a new one. This method is called «Casing». The corrugated steel structure is placed inside the existing structure and the space between the old structure and the new one is filled with concrete. This method allows you to restore the load-bearing characteristics of artificial structures without any traffic stops and allows you to avoid expensive measures to demolish the old structure and install a new one in its place.
SuperCor structures can be equipped with additional elements depending on their functional purpose:
various boxes for lighting devices;
ventilation pipes;
different niche;
technical holes;
connecting pipe;
other element.
